TERRA TOSSE ADULTI is a Medical Device  based on Phytoclad repair^®, honey and plant extracts, effective in the treatment of cough, both productive and dry, associated with irritation of the oropharyngeal mucosa and related symptoms in people aged 12 and older.

TERRA TOSSE ADULTI targets the oropharyngeal mucosa by generating a protective film that lines the inflamed oral cavity, soothing irritation and deterioration caused by coughing and preventing delayed healing of the affected mucosa. The protective action of the film accelerates and improves the normal processes of re-epithelization and regeneration by treating the cause or the effects of cough, as well as diseases associated with throat inflammation that are characterized by itching, swelling and a burning sensation. Finally, thanks to its moisturizing action, it aims at mucus thinning to facilitate normal phlegm expectoration and any pathogens or irritants incorporated into it, so that the airway remain unblocked and breathing get improved.

ACTION MODE

TERRA TOSSE ADULTI acts through the following modes:

• the mucoadhesive formula keeps the active ingredients in contact with the oropharyngeal mucosa, conveying the actions of each ingredient for a targeted treatment against dry and productive cough and sore throat,
• Phytoclad repair^®, containing Polysaccharides, Mucilages and Flavonoids from Mallow and Opuntia (Prickly Pear), thanks to its filming, lubricating and fluidifying action, is useful in cases of dry cough and throat irritation. The film formation protects the surface of the oropharyngeal mucosa from coming into contact with irritants and pathogens, while it accelerates the re-epithelialization of the inflamed, swollen and painful part,
• thanks to its emollient and soothing action on the oropharyngeal mucosa, mallow extract is suitable for maintaining a normal voice tone, liquidizing sticky sputum, and promoting the elimination of bronchial secretions, necessary in cases of productive cough,
• thanks to its demulcent effect, honey is useful for the well-being of the respiratory tract. It enhances natural salivation, thus resulting in greater mucus secretion in the airways, with subsequent emollient and soothing effects on inflamed pharynx and larynx and reduction of any cough.

The synergy of the active ingredients results in a lubricating action that reduces friction at oropharyngeal level, soothing any irritation.

COMPOSITION

Active Ingredients: Orange Blossom Honey, Blossom Honey, Mallow Extract, Prickly Pear [Opuntia] Extract, Phytoclad repair^® Complex containing polysaccharides, mucilages and flavonoids.

Additional ingredients: Cane sugar*, Caramel, Citric acid, Glycerin, Potassium sorbate, Sodium benzoate, Xanthan gum, Anise essential oil, Eucalyptus essential oil, Mint essential oil, Lemon essential oil.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Recommended intake: 1 20-ml measuring cup up to 3 times daily between meals or as required.

Suitable for adults and children aged 12 and older.

For best results, avoid drinking or consuming food immediately after taking the medicine.

Continue the recommended daily dose for as long as the symptoms exist.

Shake before use.

WARNING

For oral use only. Clean the measuring cup thoroughly after each use. Close the bottle carefully after each use. Use in cases of known hypersensitivity to one or more of the listed ingredients is not recommended. Consult your doctor if symptoms persist after one week of use. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use the product after the expiry date. Do not use the product unless the packaging is intact. The duration of treatment should not exceed 30 days. Patients and any healthcare professional are required to inform the Manufacturer and the competent national authorities in the event of accidents or adverse events due to the use of the medical product.

STORAGE CONDITIONS AND EXPIRY DATE

The expiry date refers to a product in intact and properly stored packaging. Store out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. Do not expose the product to temperatures above 25 °C.

TERRA TOSSE ADULTI is generally well tolerated. No side effects caused by the product have been reported.
